Discovered this place by chance. Really good Lala Hot Pot Buffet for RM29++ which came up to RM33. They have a choice of clear soup or Tom Yam and choice of spicy levels. I went for the clear and max spicy. Soup was very tasty with lots of ginger and chillies with a hint of bean paste. It was filled with fresh Lala. The buffet included meatballs, veggies, mushrooms, bacon, crab, more Lala if the ones in the pot was not enough. 90mins in to eat all you can. I arrived at 7 and it was almost full. After 8pm, the crowd dialed down a bit but people were still coming. I had a Happy Meal.

Randomly found this place on Google but it didn’t disappoint! Rm66 for 2 pax, we find it very affordable We both love the lalapot as you can adjust the spiciness according your own preference.. help yourself with more chillies, fried garlic and rice wine if you prefer stronger broth taste. Also not forgetting the staffs and owner for their very good service, keep on adding soup for us Also must try is their chicken wings.

Price is very reasonable for charocol-cooked lala soup. You get a choice of clear or tomyum/ spicy or non-spicy. The food selection is very limited and the soup is on the sweeter side. Service is swift.

Calling Americans who like authentic Chinese hot pot at a good price. My wife and I went there after reading some reviews and were impressed. As you know, buffets in SE Asian countries don’t compare to the US, but this one comes very close. Wide variety of fresh items, and a good selection of pre cooked items. Fresh vegetables and a great variety of ice cream. See photos. We went on a Thursday evening and the place filled up with many locals and a few tourists. The bill: 66.4 RM about $15 US for two people. There is a 90 minute time limit, which we failed to achieve, due to lack of capacity. Only issue for me is the processed meat items, like fish balls, shrimp, and a couple the items. It could be personal taste though. So if you like hot pot, seafood and most of all value give it a try. CAT bus runs very close to it and that is free too.

Visited months ago, I'm a clam lver, initialy I though it just a steambot ans provide clam and se other choise of food, so I took some clam and wait the pot to be served, but surprisingly tsop made by clam, is really tasty. The selection of foods not really much but good enough for the price offerred.

My dining experience at Khao Kun buffet hotpot was a pleasant and value-for-money. They have the cooked food area serving moo ping, basil minced pork, fried maggi mee, chilly crab and many more. Even those food are nice. This is probably one of the cheapest hotpot buffet options in Penang. It used to be RM34 after tax, and although the price has increased to RM39.50, it still feels very economical for what you get. One thing I really appreciate about this outlet is the comfortable, air-conditioned dining area. The other two Khao Kun outlets I usually visit serve BBQ mookata–style hotpot, you will go home smelling like oil and bbq. Here, it’s more of a claypot hotpot setup with no BBQ element. That said, the staff mentioned they provide grilling meat service as well. The selection of ingredients is more or less the same as their other outlets, so there are no big surprises there. However, the standout for me was the clam soup. It was flavourful and comforting, and what made it even better was the free-flow white wine and cooking wine available to use. Pairing these with the soup really elevated the overall taste. Parking is not hard around here. Do make reservations before coming here.

I enjoyed the hotpot. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Inside you cook in the two-soup pan. Outside they will BBQ for you and bring it in. Everything included, buffet, drinks and a large selection of ice cream. Great choice, particularly if you are hungry.

Delicious lalapot steamboat buffet. The ready to eat food was also very good! Soup and flavorful, and you can adjust the flavor yourself with the cooking wine and condiments provided. Good selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, and desserts. Place is nice and clean. The owner was also very friendly and gave us recommendations. Place with good value, good food, clean and friendly staffs.
